Tomasz Kulbowski Photography

I see street photography more as a method of work, or a kind of perception, rather than a separate photography genre. I try to implement this method into my work mainly by patient observation, being open and tuned in to the surrounding space. I'm watching it closely, switching through it’s layers, connecting dots, playing with symbols, waiting for a small pieces of reality find their place in the frame. Street photography to me is also a way of learning how to appreciate all those too easy to miss happenings, perfect coincidences which can turn the obvious into revelation an let me look under the surface of reality. Street photography became my lifestyle at some point – I rarely walk the streets without the camera, never without looking for potential frames. This unique perception is something I find really precious and would like to share it with you through my photographs. Enjoy!
